The Yellow Trinidad Scorpion is one of the rarest members of the Trinidad Scorpion pepper family. The Trinidad Scorpion pepper's name comes from the pointed end of the pepper that is said to resemble a scorpion's stinger. When fully mature, the peppers grow are about one to two inches in length with smooth, thin skin. This particular variety, which was developed by Steve Bender at Innovation Acre, has a citrusy flavor and is not as hot as the original Trinidad Scorpion pepper. It was developed by crossing the Yellow Scotch Bonnet and the Trinidad Scorpion. The Yellow Trinidad Scorpion pepper averages about 700,000 to 850,000 Scoville Heat Units.

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion.
