Created by crossing the Red Naglah and 7 Pot Bubblgeum, the Red Borg 9 is a very rare pepper that was developed by Jon Harper. Harper named the pepper after Ernest Borgnine. It is considered a superhot pepper because of its extreme heat and like other superhot varieties, the Red Borg 9's flavor is fruity and sweet. Red Borg 9 pods look somewhat like a combination of a 7 Pot, Carolina Reaper, and Trinidad Moruga Scorpion all wrapped into one. Although there hasn't been any official testing yet, the Red Borg 9 is likely one of the world's hottest peppers, with some even believing it could compete with the Carolina Reaper, which averages 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units.
