One of the hottest peppers in the world, the 7 Pot pepper's name comes from the idea that one pepper pod can provide spice for 7 pots of stew. The Red 7 Pot pepper, which is the oldest pepper of the 7 Pot varieties, has rough skin and a extremely hot heat level. The 7 Pot pepper tastes similar to a Ghost pepper. 7 Pot peppers fall under the super hot category because of their very spicy heat level. The Red 7 Pot pepper has slightly less heat than the Carolina Reaper and the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion as it averages about 1,150,000 to 1,800,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).

The 7 Pot pepper was originally grown in Trinidad, and there are several different colored strains, including the Yellow 7 PotWhite 7 PotChocolate 7 Pot7 Pot Primo, and 7 Pot Douglah. The 7 Pot pepper is related to the Trinidad Scorpion pepper, one of the hottest peppers in the world.

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion.

Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastics pots and approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.
