The Chocolate MA Wartryx was created by crossing the Red MA Wartryx and the Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. This particular variety was developed at the Innovation Acre at Tyler Farms. The original MA Wartryx, the red version, was created by Matthew Arthur as a result of crossing the Trinidad Scorpion, 7 Pot Jonah and Ubatuba. The Chocolate MA Wartryx peppers are round, have bumpy skin, and ripen from green to a brown color. Some of the pods have more of a stinger-like point protruding from the bottom of the pepper and look somewhat like the Chocolate 7 Pot Brain Strain.

The Chocolate MA Wartryx pepper is very spicy and has a slight smoky flavor with a hint of fruitiness. Fresh ripe pods of the pepper have high concentrations of capsicum oil on the inside walls, which contribute to their superhot heat level. The peppers have soft, thin walls which make them great for hot sauce, salsa, or as a superhot powder. Although it has not officially been tested, it is believed to be about as spicy as a Trinidad Scorpion, which averages 800,000 to 1,300,000 Scoville Heat Units.

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers like worm castings and fish emulsion.

Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastic pots and are approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.

I ordered this plant last year and ate oneof the peppers raw. My mouth was on fire for hours. It's a really cool variety though.
