Scoville Heat Units (SHU):
5,000 – 25,000

Originally from Brazil, the Bishop's Crown pepper is a very uniquely shaped mild pepper. The body of the peppers have very little heat and the wings are sweet and mild, making the Bishop’s Crown a popular pepper for mild salsa and pickling. The Bishop’s Crown is  a very popular pepper due to its medium heat level, fruity flavor, and the unique appearance of the pods. Bishop’s Crown peppers average about 5,000 to 30,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is similar to the Bulgarian Carrot pepper and the Vegas Serrano pepper.

Bishop's Crown pepper plants are tall as they average about three to four feet in height. The peppers usually have three or four flat-wings and look somewhat like flying saucers. The heat level of Bishop’s Crown pepper is hotter than both the world famous Jalapeno as well as the Cherry Bomb pepper. The “flying saucer” Bishop’s Crown pepper matures from green to red.

Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastic pots and are approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.
